Mrs. P’s September Read #1

Strong Inside – This was a surprise for me. I’m not a big basketball fan but LOVED this book!  It is narrative non-fiction (non-fiction but reads like fiction). Great true story of  Perry Wallace, who in 1966 enrolled at Vanderbilt University and became the first African-American basketball player in the Southeastern Conference. Strong Inside is not just the story of a trailblazing athlete, but of civil rights, race in America. If you have seen and liked the movie, Glory Road.  You will love this book!
